Our Essential Toolkit

People often ask what we use. While tools don't make the artist, the right gear can eliminate creative friction. Here is our curated list of software and hardware we trust and recommend.

Software Essentials

  • Adobe Creative Cloud: The undisputed industry standard. Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects form the core of nearly every professional workflow. Their integration is seamless and powerful.
  • DaVinci Resolve Studio: What started as a color grading powerhouse is now a full-fledged editing suite. Its node-based color tools are the best in the business, and the free version is incredibly capable.
  • Cinema 4D: For those diving into the world of 3D motion graphics, Cinema 4D offers an intuitive interface and powerful toolset that integrates beautifully with After Effects.

Hardware Recommendations

  • Color-Accurate Monitor (BenQ, Dell UltraSharp): You can't grade what you can't see. A monitor with at least 99% sRGB coverage (and ideally DCI-P3 for video) is a non-negotiable investment.
  • Wacom Graphics Tablet: For serious retouching and masking, the precision of a pressure-sensitive pen is unmatched by a mouse, allowing for more natural and intuitive strokes.
  • Fast External Storage (Samsung T7, Sandisk Extreme Pro): Modern video files are massive. A fast NVMe-based external SSD is critical for smooth playback and editing without creating proxies.
